Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking an Accounting Intern for a 3-month remote internship. The role is fully remote, and candidates must be located in Texas, Indiana, Missouri, or New Mexico. Equipment is provided, with potential for full-time hire after internship.

Responsibilities include assisting with monthly/quarterly financial statements, bank reconciliations, and journal entries, while maintaining confidentiality and working with management at all levels.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Finance and/or Accounting preferred.
• Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel, and an Accounting database system.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle confidential information with all levels of management.
• Good written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work additional hours and on special projects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing monthly/quarterly financial statements.
• Develop audit schedules and update financial information monthly.
• Reconcile bank accounts and related asset/general ledger accounts.
• Prepare journal entries for the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
• Maintain account balances and reconcile differences with external sources.
• Assist in developing reports such as financial analysis and depreciation.
