Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking an Accounting Intern to support monthly/quarterly financial statements, audit schedules, and ledger reconciliations. The internship is fully remote and offers equipment provided, with a path to full-time hire after completion.

Candidates should have a BA/BS in Finance or Accounting preferred, be proficient in MS Word/Excel and accounting databases, and demonstrate strong organization, communication, and the ability to handle confidential information in a

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Finance and/or Accounting preferred.
• Proficient in MS Word/Excel, and an Accounting database system.
• Organized, detail-oriented, able to handle confidential information and interface with all management levels.
• Good written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task, problem-solve, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• May work additional hours and on special projects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly financial statements.
• Develop audit schedules and updates financial information monthly.
• Reconcile bank accounts and other asset general ledger accounts.
• Prepare journal entries for general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
• Maintain account balances and reconcile differences.
• Assist in developing reports including financial analysis and depreciation.
• Other duties as assigned
