Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking an Accounting Intern to join our remote team. This paid, 3-month internship requires you to be located in Texas, Indiana, Missouri, or New Mexico. Equipment is provided, and there is potential for full-time hire after completion.

You will report to the Accounting Manager and assist with monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and journal entries. Ideal candidates have a BA/BS in Finance or Accounting (preferred), and proficiency with MS Word/Excel and

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Finance and/or Accounting preferred.
• Proficient in MS Word/Excel and an Accounting database system.
• Organized, detail-oriented and able to handle confidential information and interface with management.
• Good written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, problem-solve, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work additional hours and on special projects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly financial statements.
• Develop audit schedules and updates financial information monthly.
• Reconcile bank accounts and related asset general ledger accounts.
• Prepare journal entries for the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
• Maintain account balances and reconcile differences.
• Develop reports including financial analysis and depreciation.
• Other duties as assigned
