Job summary

Ohalo is seeking an Accounting Analyst to build and scale its accounting and finance infrastructure. You will own day-to-day accounts payable, cash reconciliations, and core general ledger activity, driving hands-on improvements with an analytical mindset.

You will partner with the Controller and cross-functional teams to automate repetitive tasks, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure audit-ready documentation while supporting month-end through year-end close.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting or AP experience.
• Strong GAAP knowledge.
• Self-starter who reasons from first principles.
• Comfortable digging into root causes rather than just completing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Process, code, and review vendor invoices and employee expense reports; manage AP workflow end-to-end using Ramp/Zip and NetSuite.
• Own vendor and payment reconciliations; analyze root cause on discrepancies and aged items.
• Prepare and post monthly corporate journal entries (accruals, prepaids, reclasses).
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations for cash and other accounts; resolve reconciling items.
• Reconcile bank and cash accounts; monitor for unusual activity.
• Support month-end, quarterly, and year-end close; flux analyses and schedules.
• Identify and implement automation for AP and reconciliation using AI/workflow tools.
• Partner with procurement, budget owners, and vendors to resolve invoice issues; maintain audit-ready docs.
• Administer travel & expense program; card issuance, policy enforcement, and audits; leverage AI tools in Ramp.
