Job summary

Ohalo is seeking an Accounting Manager to build and lead the accounting function for a fast-growing biotech agri-tech company. Remote-based role serving Pacific, Mountain, or Central Time Zones, reporting to the Controller, with responsibility for closing, reconciliations, and technical areas like stock-based compensation and ASC 842 lease accounting.

You will design manufacturing costing, oversee monthly closes, strengthen internal controls, and mentor the Accounting Analyst while partnering

Qualifications

• Strong US GAAP knowledge and technical accounting concepts.
• Self-starter with ability to build process from scratch.
• Ability to mentor and develop junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve accounting entries, coaching toward root-cause thinking.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close with timely financial statements.
• Design manufacturing costing and inventory accounting processes from scratch.
• Strengthen internal controls and liaise with external auditors.
• Automate processes using NetSuite, Ramp, Zip, and other tools.
