Job summary

Ohalo is seeking an Accounting Analyst to help build our accounting and finance infrastructure from the ground up. You will own day-to-day accounts payable, cash reconciliations, and core general ledger activity, reporting to the Controller and influencing process design.

This hands-on role emphasizes root-cause analysis, automation via AI tools, and collaboration with procurement and vendors to ensure audit-ready documentation and smooth month-end close.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounting or accounts payable experience.
• Solid understanding of debits/credits and GAAP.
• Self-starter who takes ownership and reasons from first principles.
• Strong intellectual curiosity and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Process, code, and review vendor invoices and employee expense reports, using Ramp/Zip and NetSuite.
• Own vendor and payment reconciliations, analyze root causes of discrepancies and aged items.
• Prepare and post monthly corporate accounting journal entries (accruals, prepaids, reclasses).
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations for cash and other accounts.
• Reconcile bank and cash accounts, monitor for unusual activity.
• Support month-end, quarterly, and year-end close, including flux analysis.
