Job summary

Wipfli is seeking a senior accounting advisor to serve behavioral health providers across the US, analyzing financial performance, improving reporting, and guiding client engagements. You will lead teams, mentor staff, and coordinate cross-functional work with revenue cycle and program leadership.

The role emphasizes strong communication, project management, and technical accounting expertise within a flexible, remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 4-6 years of experience in public or private accounting.
• Experience serving healthcare, behavioral health, nonprofit, or community-based organizations required.
• 3+ years managing associates and/or teams.
• Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Review financial reporting packages and work papers for quality, completeness, and timely delivery.
• Prepare and analyze benchmarking data and key performance indicators to support client insights.
• Present completed reporting packages and findings to clients as directed.
• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models in alignment with client engagement terms.
• Provide technical accounting support to clients and their teams on complex issues.
• Identify operational inefficiencies through client discovery sessions and recommend actionable improvements.
• Lead and coordinate the efforts of US and offshore engagement team members, ensuring high-quality deliverables, efficient workflow management, and a consistent client experience.
• Lead and coach staff and senior accountants, providing guidance on accounting and financial reporting matters.
