Job summary

Wipfli is seeking an experienced accounting/finance leader to serve as trusted advisor to behavioral health providers across the US. You will navigate financial, operational, reimbursement, and compliance challenges while advancing the mission of client organizations.

This role can be worked 100% remote anywhere in the US. The position requires 4–6 years in accounting, healthcare experience, and 3+ years of people leadership, with a CPA or CMA preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 4-6 years of experience in public or private accounting.
• Experience serving healthcare, behavioral health, nonprofit, or community-based organizations required.
• 3+ years managing associates and/or teams.
• Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Review financial reporting packages and work papers for quality, completeness, and timely delivery.
• Prepare and analyze benchmarking data and KPIs to support client insights.
• Present completed reporting packages and findings to clients as directed.
• Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models in line with engagement terms.
• Provide technical accounting support to clients and their teams on complex issues.
• Identify operational inefficiencies through client discovery sessions and recommend improvements.
• Lead and coordinate US and offshore engagement team members for high-quality deliverables.
• Lead and coach staff and senior accountants on accounting and financial reporting matters.
