Job summary

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is hiring an Accountant to support financial accounting, revenue recognition, and multi‑entity reporting. The role emphasizes GAAP compliance and accurate month‑end processes.

The successful candidate will own journal entries, intercompany reconciliations, and contract review for ASC 606, while leveraging ERP systems such as OneStream to ensure data integrity. This remote role reports to the Manager of Financial Reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree with 3+ years related accounting experience or Master with 1 year related experience.
• Strong GAAP, ASC 606, and multi-entity close proficiency.
• Proficient with ERP systems and Excel/macros for automation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare fluctuation analyses and financial schedules for assigned entities.
• Perform monthly balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations.
• Review contracts to support revenue recognition under ASC 606.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities with journals and accruals.
• Assist with audit requests by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Work in ERP/consolidation systems (OneStream) for reporting and data accuracy.
• Build automation tools (RPA, Power Query, scripts) to reduce manual work.
• Participate in system implementations and SOX control improvements.
