Job summary

JG Partners is seeking an Accountant who will own core accounting operations, including GL maintenance, month-end close, and financial statement preparation for leadership decision-making.

This remote role is open to candidates located anywhere in the United States, with responsibilities spanning variance analysis, audits support, budgeting, and cash flow monitoring. CPA is a plus and the team emphasizes accuracy and diligence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Hands-on month-end close & financial statement prep.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online or a comparable system.
• Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and lookups.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• CPA license or active candidacy is a plus.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries.
• Lead month end close and year end close, incl. reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements per US GAAP.
• Perform variance analysis: budget vs actual.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Manage fixed asset schedules and depreciation.
• Support annual audits with auditors and tax advisors.
• Assist budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring.
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and controls.
