Job summary

Insurance Office of America, Inc. seeks an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, retain clients, and support new business.

You will coordinate daily administrative and customer service tasks, resolve complex issues, and ensure accuracy in policy administration and billing. The role requires 3+ years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, an active P&C license, and the ability to work PT hours.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent designation preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Ensure timely completion and communicate workload status.
• Deliver proactive service and quick responses to client needs.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate IOA values.
