Job summary

Insurance Office of America (IOA) seeks an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to manage a book of business, ensure client retention, and support new business. You will coordinate day-to-day admin, service requests, billing, claims, and coverage analysis with a focus on accuracy and proactive service.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, active P&C license (CIC preferred), and strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent designation preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Ensure timely completion of activities and effective communication.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Pursue continuous improvement and adopt best practices.
