Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager - Commercial Lines to oversee an assigned book of business, retain clients, and support new business. The role combines client service with policy administration and renewal management.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, active P&C license, and CIC or equivalent preferred. Hybrid work is offered with one day in NY offices or fully remote for remote applicants in Eastern/Central Time Zones.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active property & casualty licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues.
• Maintain policy administration, billing, claims handling, and coverage analysis.
• Renewals: negotiate coverages, prepare proposals, and present client submissions.
• Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on delinquent balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms with data accuracy.
