Insurance Office of America, Inc. is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book, retain clients, and support new business. The role requires a P&C license, Pacific Time hours, strong client service, leadership of the account team, and proficiency in MS Office.

Remote/hybrid work is possible with onsite as needed across CA and nearby states. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, CIC or equivalent preferred, and a strong

Qualifications

• 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Maintain technical competence and industry expertise.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect outstanding balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Monitor and maintain activity/suspense for timely completion.
• Maintain frequent communication with the account team about workload.
• Deliver excellent service and proactively anticipate needs.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek and adopt best practices to improve performance.
• Demonstrate integrity and leadership.
