Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking an Account Manager for Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book, retain clients, and support new business. This remote role targets candidates in Eastern or Central Time Zones, with potential on-site requirements per policy.

You will coordinate day-to-day service, renewals, billing, claims, and coverage analyses, lead the account management team, and uphold IOA values of integrity and leadership while delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Active P&C license required.
• 3+ years account management experience.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent customer service, communication, multitasking and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities.
• Resolve complex issues with accuracy and thoroughness.
• Maintain technical competence and industry knowledge.
• Direct daily activities of the account management team.
• Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims and coverage analysis.
• Manage policy expirations and renewals.
• Prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Ensure data accuracy and timely completion of activities.
• Communicate workload status and issues to the team.
• Deliver exceptional service and seek continuous improvement.
• Stay updated on company policies and promote IOA values.
