Job summary

Alpaca is seeking a transfers-focused operations professional to own ACATS and related transfer workflows within a fast-paced, self-clearing expansion. You’ll work cross-functionally with partner brokers and internal teams to ensure accurate, timely transfers.

The role emphasizes adherence to regulatory requirements, documentation discipline, and continuous process improvement in a distributed, remote team environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on ACATS operations experience.
• Experience with ACATS lifecycle, statuses, exceptions and timelines.
• Knowledge of FINRA rules and NSCC/DTCC requirements.
• Experience communicating with counterparties to resolve transfer issues.
• Must work well under hard daily processing cutoffs.
• Ability to document procedures and contribute to controls and improvements.
• SIE and Series 99 license or plan to obtain within 180 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Process daily incoming and outgoing ACATS within industry timelines.
• Handle DTC/FOP transfers and ACATS Free Deliveries and related types.
• Document root cause and corrective actions for rejections.
• Collaborate with contra firms, transfer agents, and brokers to resolve issues.
• Run mass account transfers and conversions.
• Partner with engineering to automate daily workflows.
• Contribute to control framework and policy questions.
• Prepare summaries for special projects and cross-functional initiatives.
