The American Marketing Association is seeking an Academic Communities Intern to support the academic community of marketers. This fully remote role offers up to 24 hours per week and pays $18.00 per hour. Ideal candidates are currently enrolled in college and have experience in customer service or volunteer management.

You will assist with SIG events, budget tasks, and conference logistics, while helping foster a welcoming community for academics and students within AMA.

Competenze

• High school diploma required.
• Enrolled at a 2-year or 4-year college/university.
• Customer service or volunteer management experience preferred.
• Interest in event management or association management.
• Experience using Google Suite.

Mansioni

• Maintain and manage Special Interest Group (SIG) webpages.
• Assist with SIG budget and financial management, including payments, reimbursements, and invoices.
• Support planning and logistics for 2027 Winter Academic, Virtual Winter Academic, Summer Academic, and Marketing and Public Policy conferences.
• Respond to attendee inquiries with the Manager, Academic Communities and Customer Support team.
• Help execute Conference and SIG awards processes.
• Assist the Senior Copy Editor with conference proceedings administration.
