Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an EAP Clinical Counselor for a fully remote role in the United States. The position provides 24/7 telephone-based counseling and informational services through a call center, delivering urgent mental health support and resources.

The counselor will assess needs, coordinate care, and maintain privacy while working with a multidisciplinary team. Required licensure and a Master’s degree in behavioral health counseling, with at least 1 year of crisis intervention experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of crisis intervention experience.
• Valid unrestricted independent behavioral health clinical license per state regulations.
• 24x7x365 call center coverage; holiday coverage expected.
• Experience in facilitating patient/client positive behavior change.
• Experience with mental health, psychiatric care, family situations and relationship concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone-based assessment, triage, counseling and informational services in a call center.
• Conduct risk, substance abuse and mental health assessments and develop immediate action/safety plans.
• Recommend appropriate levels of care based on assessment.
• Maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation per policy and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with a team to ensure positive clinical outcomes and continuity of care.
