Job summary

Leidos in Norfolk, Virginia is seeking an Execution Lead for the SMIT program to manage vulnerability remediation and the replacement of EOL/EOS hardware and software across NMCI. The role directs a large technical team virtually and interfaces with senior Government officials.

The ideal candidate has extensive Operations/Engineering leadership experience, a background in network/transport and defense-in-depth security, and strong briefing and communication skills.

Qualifications

• BA/BS with 8+ years of relevant experience; MS/MBA with 6+ years also acceptable.
• Prior leadership responsibilities in a large-matrixed organization.
• Excellent written and oral communication; capable of presenting to senior management.
• Knowledge of defense-in-depth principles, network/security architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex IT remediation and refresh projects across locations while meeting deployments and maintaining daily operations.
• Direct interface with senior Government officials and NMCI leadership.
• Communicate critical program information to stakeholders in a timely manner.
• Build relationships with customer and Leidos peers to develop risk mitigations and resolutions.
• Manage vulnerability management staff and 12-week planning horizon with 4-week firm window.
• Oversee subcontract relationships and ensure proper time charging for personnel and suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with SAAR-N/PAA and ongoing staff training.
