Job summary

AAA United States, Inc. is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations in Mobile, AL. You will guide employees, supervisors, and management on HR policies, benefits, leaves, performance, and compliance.

This role requires 3+ years in HR, a bachelor’s degree, strong communication, ability to handle confidential matters, and proficiency with MS Office. Familiarity with Paylocity or similar HRIS is preferred; relocation to Mobile is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably including employee relations or generalist work.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience handling employee relations matters and confidential information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with an HRIS/payroll system such as Paylocity is preferred.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary HR point of contact for policies, benefits, attendance, performance, and workplace concerns.
• Support employee relations matters, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
• Partner with management to address employee concerns and ensure consistent HR practices.
• Maintain confidential employee records and HR documentation.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes and related paperwork.
• Administer and guide policies and employee handbook requirements.
• Assist with leave administration (FMLA, state/local leaves) and accommodations.
• Support performance management processes and corrective actions.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Assist with recruiting and staffing coordination.
• Support workers' compensation matters and related requests.
• Prepare HR reports, correspondence, and required documentation.
• Assist with audits and maintain employee documentation.
