Job summary

AAA United States, Inc. is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support day-to-day human resources operations and provide guidance to employees, supervisors, and management.

The HR Generalist will handle a broad range of functions including employee relations, onboarding, benefits, leave administration, compliance, performance management, HR documentation, and policy administration. This role requires strong communication, sound judgment, and the ability to handle confidential matters

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive HR experience, with emphasis on employee relations or generalist work.
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience handling confidential information and sensitivity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience using HRIS/payroll systems such as Paylocity preferred.
• SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary HR contact for policies, benefits, attendance, performance, and workplace concerns.
• Support employee relations matters, investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
• Partner with management to address concerns and ensure consistent HR practices.
• Maintain accurate, confidential employee records and documentation.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding, including paperwork and orientation.
• Administer policies and employee handbook requirements.
• Assist with leave administration (FMLA, state/local leave, accommodations).
• Assist with performance management, including PIPs and warnings.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
• Support EEO, wage/hour, accommodations, and related compliance matters.
• Collaborate with recruiting and operations on staffing and lifecycle processes.
• Assist with workers' compensation and other employment-related requests.
• Prepare HR reports, correspondence, and documentation as needed.
• Assist with audits and ensure required documentation is maintained.
• Support HR projects, policy updates, training, and other department activities.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company information.
