Job summary

Jobot is seeking a senior Estimating & Preconstruction leader to own pricing, scope, and margin across complex programs in the built environment. You will partner with executive leadership to drive value, shape processes, and defend pursuit pricing with confidence.

This hybrid role blends office coordination with field exposure, relocations support, and a clear path to lead a team, build tools, and deliver disciplined estimates from concept through GMP for high-visibility projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 10+ years in construction with 4+ years in preconstruction/estimating.
• Proven ability to lead estimating and preconstruction across multi-program pursuits.
• Strong client and leadership relationship skills at the executive level.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Own the accuracy, integrity, and margin impact of preconstruction estimates across programs.
• Design and restructure the Estimating & Preconstruction team to meet pursuit demand.
• Lead and supervise direct reports in preconstruction, estimating, and program management.
• Improve preconstruction workflows and establish standards for estimates.
• Develop and maintain estimating systems and databases; ensure accurate data for handoff.
• Lead end-to-end pricing exercises, subcontractor outreach, and RFPs.
• Develop risk analyses and elevate issues to leadership.
• Lead Value Engineering efforts and field-estimating tools development.
• Create schedules during preconstruction and manage design scope changes.
• Transfer estimating information to internal customers for operational truth.
