Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Albany, GA is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our corrugated facility. You will perform mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and install/repair drives, chains, and gears to keep production running.

You'll read technical drawings, follow safety guidelines, and support meeting production goals while working a 12-hour shift on a 2-2-3 rotation. Relocation incentives offered.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years or more of rotary machinery industrial maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, conveyors and electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Experience reading technical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Completing mechanical and electrical preventive maintenance activities to identify and correct mechanical defects before they fail.
• Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems, repairing and maintaining all equipment in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
• Installing and repairing mechanical drives, chains, sprockets, gears, belts, and couplings.
• Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics.
• Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Helping to meet or exceed production, waste and quality goals through a quality maintenance program
• Maintaining strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.
