Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician for our Albion, MI corrugated sheet feeder plant. The role involves troubleshooting, installing, aligning, dismantling, repairing and maintaining industrial machinery to ensure reliability and uptime.

The position requires routine preventive maintenance, responsive repairs on production lines, and hands-on work with motors, drives, PLCs, and electrical control devices.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of industrial electrical maintenance experience or a two-year electrical controls degree with related experience.
• Experience installing/troubleshooting electric motors up to 480V and related electrical components.
• Reading electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical drawings, P&IDs, and precision measurements.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and equipment to improve reliability and uptime.
• Perform routine scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Respond to production floor requests to troubleshoot and repair with urgency.
• Work with motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, and production line equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical control devices including drives, contactors, motors, and power supplies.
• Read blueprints, diagrams, schematics, manuals, and specifications for installations and maintenance.
