Job summary

Meijer Pharmacy in Michigan is seeking a Pharmacist to join our family-focused team dedicated to patient care and education. You will manage prescriptions safely, counsel patients, and collaborate with technicians and leadership to deliver high-touch pharmaceutical services, including immunizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• Retail/Community Practice experience.
• Working knowledge of pharmacy system, policies and procedures, and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results and support growth of the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Be competent and knowledgeable of Meijer policies and state/federal laws.
• Communicate effectively and act as an agent of change.
• Maintain excellent organizational skills and prioritize workload.
• Listen to patients and resolve their needs and issues, delivering strong customer service.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, oversee pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee (where allowed) clinical services, including immunizations.
