Job summary

VEG is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our frontline ER teams. You will participate in triage, treatments, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, providing compassionate care for both pets and their owners.

Expect to work nights and weekends as needed, with opportunities to grow skills and mentor others in a fast-paced environment. VEG emphasizes learning, teamwork, and exceptional patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AVMA-accredited program strongly preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT) in the state of VEG practice is required; VTS in ECC/Anesthesia is a plus.
• 1+ year experience as a veterinary technician; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide triage, treatments, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Deliver nursing care and emotional support to patients and pet parents.
• Assist with diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and procedures.
• Perform CPR and participate in emergency care protocols.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and team to ensure smooth patient flow.
