Job summary

VEG is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team. You will handle a wide range of cases, from minor to complex emergencies, collaborating with doctors and staff to deliver gold-standard, emotionally intelligent care.

Responsibilities include triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, with opportunities to grow skills and contribute to a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in veterinary technology preferred.
• Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state of VEG location.
• 1+ year of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate nursing care, triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Deliver nursing care and emotional support from triage to discharge in urgent situations.
• Assist with procedures including IVs, CRIs, blood transfusions, and monitoring.
