Job summary

Republic Services, Inc. is seeking a Relief Driver- CDL (B) to safely operate a collection truck and provide prompt waste removal services for customers. You will ensure the vehicle complies with safety standards and complete daily vehicle condition reports to identify and address defects.

You will perform pre- and post-operation inspections, follow routes, load refuse, interact with customers, and maintain required records while adhering to safety policies and company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections.
• Safely operate the heavy truck on designated routes and service customers.
• Load refuse, operate the packer and dispose at the designated facility.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and others daily.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag accordingly.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable materials.
• Maintain vehicle readiness to minimize downtime.
• Complete required route productivity sheets and reports.
