Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector in Redondo Beach, CA, is seeking a Reliability Systems Engineer – Level 2 to join our team. You will lead reliability analysis, create diagrams, and work with the design team to improve system availability.

Applicants must have a STEM degree with 2+ years of engineering experience or a master's, plus active SCI or Top Secret clearance with SSBI within the last 5 years. The role may require funding contingencies and program access.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM with 2+ years engineering experience or Master's degree in STEM.
Experience in reliability tasks: predictions, failure rate estimation, and FMEA.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics/drawings and create reliability block diagrams.
Active SCI access or Top Secret clearance with SSBI within the last 5 years and prior to start date or ability to obtain/maintain SCI access.

Responsibilities

Lead reliability support to the design team through reliability analyses and tradeoffs.
Create reliability block diagrams/models reflecting system functions and failure modes.
Collaborate with engineering to develop technical solutions for reliability and availability issues.
Apply probability and statistics to non-standard configurations and system definitions.
Utilize industry tools to conduct reliability analyses and assessments.
