Job summary

Northrop Grumman's Space Systems Sector is seeking a Software Engineer - Level 2 to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA or Aurora, CO. You will develop and sustain mission critical software across multiple subsystems, contributing to scalable back-end services and new capabilities for national security missions.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience or a Master’s, active SCI/TS clearance eligibility, and strong OO programming skills in C++, Python, or Java.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• Active SCI at time of application or an active TS clearance at time of application with the ability to obtain SCI within a reasonable period of time prior to start date
• Object-Oriented programming skills
• Experience in server-side languages including C++, Python, Node.js, Go, or Java
• Experience developing scalable backend solutions
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs, GraphQL APIs, or gRPC services
• Proficient in Agile principles and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
