Job summary

Zelis Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Senior SRE/Engineering Leader to manage supervisors and SREs, delivering reliability, availability, and performance for mission-critical services. You will own SLO/SLI frameworks, incident/DR playbooks, and drive automation with IaC and deployment safety.

Collaborate with product, security, and engineering to align reliability requirements in design and releases. The role emphasizes leadership, cross-functional influence, and scalable infrastructure expertise.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience managing SRE/DevOps teams.
• Strong cloud and automation background with IaC.
• Proven ability to drive reliability initiatives and incident response.
• Experience building SLO/SLI frameworks and DR plans.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of professionals to deliver outstanding service.
• Oversee design/operation of scalable, reliable infrastructure and ensure proactive monitoring, incident response, and capacity planning.
• Implement and govern SLO/SLI practices and errorbudget policies with product/engineering.
• Own BC/DR strategy and validation for owned services and ensure auditready evidence of tests.
• Drive automation (IaC, configascode) and deployment safety (canary/bluegreen).
• Provide real-time coaching and feedback to team members to improve service quality and efficiency.
• Handle escalated and complex issues and resolving promptly to maintaining excellence.
• Monitor compliance with policies and procedures, including data security and regulatory requirements.
• Leverages influencing and negotiation skills across the enterprise to achieve business goals, cost-effective and innovative shared solutions.
• Partners with leadership team to develop people priorities and plans, that align with organizational strategies.
• Provide training, support, and development opportunities to team members to ensure high performance and engagement.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify opportunities for professional development.
