Shield AI is seeking an experienced SRE Lead to establish and mature our reliability practices across cloud infrastructure and platform services. You will define reliability targets, improve observability, and ensure production systems can be operated and recovered predictably.

This is a hands-on, technical role with mentoring responsibilities across Cloud Engineering and Reliability teams. You will drive SLIs/SLOs, incident response, and automation to reduce manual work while leading a

Qualifications

• 7+ years in SRE or related fields.
• Experience operating production services with defined reliability targets.
• Experience implementing monitoring, SLOs, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement SLIs, SLOs, and reliability measures.
• Build monitoring, alerting, logging, tracing for services.
• Lead incident response and root-cause analysis.
• Identify recurring failures and drive elimination with Eng teams.
• Improve resilience via automation, testing, capacity planning.
• Develop tooling to reduce manual operational work.
• Collaborate with product teams to embed reliability in design.
• Establish incident response practices for faster recovery.
• Mentor engineers in reliability and Cloud Engineering.
• Set and manage the SRE roadmap across the team.
