Job summary

As a Reliability Engineer at Avery Dennison’s Peachtree City, GA plant, you will provide mechanical engineering leadership to enhance safety, service, quality, growth and profitability. You will develop and improve systems to boost equipment reliability and efficiency.

You will lead preventive/predictive maintenance programs, perform RCA on failures, and manage capital projects while mentoring maintenance staff and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology; 3+ years in industrial manufacturing required; 5+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• onsite Peachtree City, GA facility; design, evaluate and modify mechanical/electromechanical devices to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Lead PdM program using vibration analysis, thermography and oil analysis to reduce downtime and improve quality.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis on recurring failures; implement corrective actions to improve MTBF and maintain asset criticality.
• Manage small to mid-size capital projects including bid specs, scheduling, budgeting, contractor hiring and installation oversight.
• Lead problem-solving events; mentor maintenance staff; interface with external engineering stakeholders.
• Apply mechanical engineering principles to analyze, design and test new or improved products and production approaches.
• Manage project execution with progress meetings, track commitments, and escalate risks to leadership.
