Job summary

Avery Dennison is seeking a Maintenance Team Manager to lead our Painesville, Ohio Films Facility. You will plan and direct the activities of the maintenance team, providing critical manufacturing support to resolve safety, quality, and production issues.

You will serve as a grounded leader and change-agent, focusing on Safety, Reliability, Planned and Predictive Maintenance, and Continuous Improvement. This on-site role is located at our Painesville facility.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field (e.g., Engineering).
6+ years of operational experience; 3–5 years in a plant maintenance or engineering leadership role.
Deep knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, PLCs, motor controls, and automation.
Lean principles (ELS), OSHA PSM, ISO 9000; proficient with MS Office, Google Platform, and CMMS (Agility or MP2).

Responsibilities

Promote safety as the primary value by leading monthly safety meetings and daily huddles, ensuring compliance with OSHA guidelines.
Build and develop a high-performing, diverse team through coaching, training, and feedback, managing schedules and accountability.
Lead TPM, 5S and preventive maintenance; manage CMMS work orders and spare parts to minimize downtime and costs.
Forge strategic relationships with maintenance peers and external suppliers to optimize service contracts and longevity.
Assist with capital projects, facility modifications, and provide technical guidance for process stability and waste reduction.
