Job summary

Stored Energy Systems (SENS) in Longmont, CO is seeking a Reliability Engineer II to lead and mature the product reliability program. You will analyze field data, drive corrective actions, and coordinate cross-functional efforts with engineering, manufacturing, supplier quality, and customer support.

You will develop reliability metrics, dashboards, and knowledge databases, perform detailed failure analyses on electronic, firmware, battery, and electromechanical systems, and mentor teammates

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a similar technical discipline.
• 4+ years in an industrial electronics or battery company.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
• Proficient in data extraction, analysis, reporting, and documentation with effective verbal and written communication.
• Skilled in multitasking, time management, and prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reliability metrics including field failure rates and MTBF/MTTF.
• Establish systems for collection, analysis, and reporting of reliability data.
• Lead maturation of field failure analysis and corrective action processes.
• Develop reliability dashboards and communicate performance trends.
• Create and maintain a knowledge database of failure modes and corrective actions.
• Recommend reliability improvement initiatives based on data.
• Perform detailed failure analyses across components and systems.
• Support firmware-related field failures with software/firmware teams.
• Provide training and guidance to teams on reliability practices.
