Job summary

Electrical Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a mid-level Relay Technician II to perform testing, commissioning, and maintenance of protection and control systems. You will support project execution through testing, troubleshooting, and reporting while developing expertise in relay protection schemes and advanced testing practices.

The role emphasizes safety, technical proficiency, and collaboration with Senior Relay Technicians and Engineers across diverse client sites in North America.

Qualifications

• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen due to safety sensitive position.
• Criminal background check required and willingness to travel for periods.
• Must have valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Hands-on experience installing, maintaining, testing & repairing protective relays.
• Knowledge of relay test software.

Responsibilities

• Perform relay testing with assistance from senior technicians and engineers.
• Execute element, logic, and basic functional testing of protective relays and control systems.
• Read and interpret one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, and schematics.
• Develop testing and isolation plans to ensure safe execution of work.
• Create detailed reports including test results and calibration docs.
• Coordinate work with engineers and project teams to ensure alignment.
