Duke Energy in North Carolina invites talented students to join our Relay Technician Intern program. You will work with Journeymen and Apprentice technicians to learn relaying fundamentals, protective schemes, and SCADA controls while emphasizing safety and efficiency.

This internship targets students pursuing a two-year Engineering Technology or related degree, with a minimum 2.75 GPA, and who are not graduating before August 2027.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a two-year Engineering Technology or related program.
• GPA at least 2.75; graduation not before Aug 2027.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Learn fundamentals of relaying, protective schemes and controls.
• Observe and assist with SCADA systems operation and relays.
• Develop basic troubleshooting and field safety skills.
