Job summary

Qualus is seeking a Relay Field Engineer I to support testing and troubleshooting of protection and control schemes in substation environments. You will perform testing, calibration, and verification of relaying and metering equipment as part of a field engineering team.

The role requires learning new test procedures, strong safety practices, and the ability to work in varied environments with practical, hands-on tasks. AET or equivalent training and a valid driver's license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of 3 phase power systems, protection & control schemes.
• Experience with commissioning, testing and calibration of substation relays.
• Ability to read wiring/elementary diagrams and perform basic test tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support acceptance testing and routine maintenance of substation protection and relay systems.
• Apply test procedures for various relay test equipment.
• Ensure safety and quality during field testing and testing activities.
