Job summary

Qualus Corporation is hiring a Relay Field Technician I in its Field Engineering team. The role focuses on applying electrical theory to troubleshoot and execute testing plans for protection and control systems and schemes.

You will support the assigned team in executing work plans safely and efficiently, with an emphasis on quality assurance and rapid learning of test procedures for various substation equipment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of 3 phase power systems, protection schemes, and test equipment.
• Field experience in commissioning, equipment checkout, relay calibration, and testing.
• Ability to read wiring/diagrams and perform basic test skills.

Responsibilities

• Support acceptance testing and routine maintenance of substation power equipment and relays.
• Apply test procedures for various relay test equipment.
• Maintain substation safety and learn procedures under supervision.
• Support testing activities as required by project lead.
