Job summary

Landus Cooperative is seeking a Relationship Specialist to provide outstanding customer service to our farmer owners and support a collaborative team. You will help maintain and grow agronomy and grain-related sales, assist with contracts, and ensure accurate invoicing and CRM data entry.

The role requires a valid driver's license, physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and relevant education/experience.

Qualifications

• Requires AA or 2–5 years related experience or training.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to move/lift up to 50 pounds.
• Understand seasonality of an agricultural cooperative and in-season time commitment.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service and prompt assistance to farmer owners.
• Maintain and grow agronomy, feed sales, grain origination, and marketing with existing customers and attract new customers.
• Complete grain contracts, inter-company feed orders, and inventory transfers when applicable.
• Serve as a resource for staff on procedures for scale/receiving, invoicing, and grain contracts.
• Document and submit sales call information in CRM and assist with inventory control of location products.
• Maintain inventory of office supplies and prepare accurate invoices with fair pricing of products/services.

How will you have an impact in this role?

The Relationship specialist will provide outstanding customer service and will ensure prompt attention to our farmer owners. You will be a part of a supportive team ensuring customers get the help they need.

What will you do?

• Ensure customer satisfaction by prompt attention assisting or directing customers to the appropriate areas to meet their needs.
• Maintain and increase agronomy and feed sales, grain origination and marketing with existing customers and grow business with new customers, as applicable.
• Ability to complete grain contracts, inter-company feed orders, and inventory transfers and purchases, if applicable.
• Act as a resource for other employees on operational procedures for scale/receiving area, invoicing, and grain contracts.
• Understand how to document and submit sales call information in CRM (Customer Relationship Management System). Assist with inventory control of products offered at the location.
• Maintain inventory of office supplies.
• Prepare accurate/timely invoices; assure equitable calculation of products/services provided.
• Working knowledge of Landus credit, sales, and inventory policies
• Daily verification of sales invoices for accuracy
• Monitor agronomy sales contracts/prepay for accuracy

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Must have a valid state driver’s license.
• Must be able to move/lift up to 50 pounds.
• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One year of related experience.
• Understand the seasonality of an agricultural cooperative and the in-season time commitment.
