About the Job

The Relationship Officer, Commercial Banking, is a key professional dedicated to supporting the Commercial Banking Relationship Team. They facilitate service requests for an assigned client portfolio within Key's Commercial Banking line of business, working within an aligned Services Team committed to service excellence and risk mitigation in all client relationship aspects, including loan and deposit accounts.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Support Key's compliance culture, acting as a resource for all deposit and loan compliance matters, knowledgeable about relevant federal, state, and compliance regulations, including BSA/AML, USA Patriot Act, OFAC, and due diligence.
  2. Coordinate the setup of new accounts and maintenance or closure of existing deposit accounts, collaborating with Relationship Managers and Credit partners to resolve overdrafts and insufficient funds promptly.
  3. Review documentation to ensure accurate representation of business terms and compliance with credit approval and policies, ensuring accuracy in deposit account management.
  4. Partner with various organizational units, including relationship teams, operations, and clients, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  5. Address loan and fee payment delinquencies, determining appropriate actions and mobilizing resources to collect payments or resolve issues.
  6. Identify referral opportunities for partner products and services through general product knowledge.
  7. Respond to routine and complex client inquiries, resolving or referring issues to support partners, and submitting service requests for deposit or general needs, ensuring prompt follow-up.
  8. Provide information for GRC testing and audits as required.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of strong understanding of commercial lending concepts or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience supporting commercial banking functions.
  • Expertise in servicing commercial banking clients, resolving issues, and identifying cross-sell opportunities.
  • Excellent knowledge of commercial loan and deposit documentation.
  • Understanding of and adherence to the bank's BSA/AML program and compliance regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Treasury management experience.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement concepts.

Work Environment

This role may be mobile or home-based, supporting Key's Mobile by Design approach, allowing flexible work arrangements at a home office or Key facility.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary ranges from $68,000 to $85,000, depending on location and experience. Additional incentives include short-term and deferred incentive compensation, contingent upon individual and company performance. For benefits details, please click here.
