Location: Opportunity to work remotely covering Alaska Clients, required to work Alaska hours. Preference for candidates in Alaska Market, Anchorage, Fairbanks, Saldana.

About the Job

Relationship Officer, Commercial Banking, is the Line of Business (LOB) professional dedicated to supporting the Commercial Banking Relationship Team. They facilitate service requests for an assigned book of clients within Key's Commercial Banking line of business. They work within an aligned Services Team committed to excellence in servicing and risk mitigation across all aspects of client relationships, including loan and deposit accounts.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Support Key's compliance culture and act as a resource for deposit and loan compliance matters, knowledgeable about federal, state, and compliance regulations including BSA/AML, USA Patriot Act, OFAC, and related due diligence.
  2. Coordinate the setup of new and maintenance or closing of existing deposit accounts, working with Relationship Managers and Credit partners to resolve overdrafts and insufficient funds promptly.
  3. Review documentation to ensure accurate representation of business terms and conformity to credit approval and policies, ensuring accuracy in deposit account management.
  4. Partner with various stakeholders across the organization, including relationship teams, operations, and clients.
  5. Work to resolve loan and fee payment delinquencies, determining appropriate actions and directing resources for collection or resolution.
  6. Possess general product knowledge and identify referral opportunities for partner products and services.
  7. Respond to routine and complex client inquiries, resolve or refer issues to support partners, and coordinate follow-up to ensure timely resolution of service requests.
  8. Provide requested information for GRC testing and internal/external audits promptly.

Required Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience with a strong understanding of commercial lending concepts or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of previous experience supporting commercial banking functions.
  • Expertise in servicing commercial banking clients, resolving client issues, and identifying cross-sell opportunities.
  • Excellent knowledge of commercial loan and deposit documentation.
  • Understanding and adherence to the bank's BSA/AML program and compliance regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Treasury management experience.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement concepts.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a base salary ranging from $68,000 to $85,000 annually, depending on location and experience. Compensation also includes eligibility for short-term and deferred incentive bonuses based on performance.
