Job summary

UMB Bank in Kansas seeks a Personal Banker to build relationships, understand client needs, and recommend and sell financial products that support customers' financial well‑being. You’ll convert transactions into cross-sell opportunities and foster lasting trust.

You’ll receive extensive training on products and the sales process, work with leaders for mentorship, and contribute to a high‑energy, customer‑centered team. The role requires weekend/evening hours and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of retail experience with customers and sales.
• Ability to obtain NMLS registration within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Ask personalized questions to convert transactions and service requests into cross-sell conversations.
• Create sales opportunities by calling leads and visiting businesses.
• Achieve daily performance metrics while balancing priorities.
• Learn transactions, cash handling, and bank documentation per standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
