Job summary

NBT is seeking a Relationship Banking Associate in New York. The role focuses on delivering high-quality customer service and timely processing of routine transactions, while identifying sales opportunities and referring customers to appropriate partners.

You will support basic deposit account openings and work with both in-person and phone-based interactions. The position emphasizes accuracy, responsiveness, and teamwork within a growing community bank enviro nment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Minimum one year experience in related banking positions or equivalent sales/customer service experience.
• Excellent listening & communication skills.
• Ability to identify customer needs and opportunities through conversations.
• Organizational, interpersonal and customer relations skills with problem solving and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• 65% Processes routine transactions and related customer/account servicing with high accuracy and efficiency.
• 25% Identifies customer opportunities through consultative conversations and refers to appropriate partners.
• 5% Participates in community events per CRA requirements.
