Job summary

Citizens Bank is seeking a customer-focused Banking Specialist to grow relationships and provide financial guidance at our local branch. You will assess customer needs, present suitable solutions, and guide clients through digital banking options, aiming to help achieve their long-term financial goals.

The role involves outbound outreach, collaboration with other banking teams, and adherence to policies including cash handling.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED required.
• 2 years of sales and customer service experience, demonstrating an ability to meet or exceed goals.
• Ability to effectively ask questions and identify needs to improve the customer relationship.
• Proven success with building relationships, and recommending and referring products and services through in-person and phone interactions.
• Demonstrated skills in using digital technology to support the delivery of business goals.
• Aptitude to problem solve and provide solutions to customer issues.
• Recognized ability to strengthen relationships with teammates, business partners and specialists through collaboration.
• Self-motivated, confident and ability to multitask effectively.
• Ability to work branch hours, which can include weekends and evenings.
• Meet and comply with all requirements set forth in the SAFE Act, including, but not limited to successful completion of the pre-employment screening checks and obtaining a unique identifier from the NMLS.

Responsibilities

• Provide recommendations and assist customers with financial solutions.
• Introduce customers to digital and mobile-first banking options (app, ATMs).
• Collaborate with Wealth Management, Mortgage, and Business Banking teams for complex needs.
• Make outbound calls to acquire new customers and schedule financial checkups.
• Follow all financial policies and cash handling regulations.
