Job summary

Central Bank of St. Louis seeks a Universal Banker to deliver an exceptional customer experience by supporting teller transactions and personal banking services at our Chesterfield branch.

You will be the main contact for customers, handle day-to-day transactions, identify financial needs, and guide clients to solutions while supporting referral goals. This role emphasizes compliance with banking laws, accuracy, and professional conduct to ensure branch growth and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and negotiable instruments while minimizing operational error.
• Open and maintain consumer accounts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and a positive onboarding experience.
• Engage customers in meaningful conversations to identify financial needs and recommend appropriate products and services.
• Actively participate in referral programs, meeting established goals and contributing to overall branch sales performance.
• Maintain and balance cash drawer, adhering to established limits and procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service in person and by phone, resolving issues with professionalism and care.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all bank products, services, and applicable regulations to effectively support customers.
• Prevent fraud by following established procedures, identifying suspicious activity, and adhering to all security protocols.
• Comply with all applicable banking regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act requirements and information security standards.
