Job summary

Nicolet National Bank is seeking a Universal Banker II to drive new customers and expand relationships at the branch level. You will act as a trusted frontline advisor reflecting Nicolet's culture and commitment to exceptional customer experience.

You will handle teller operations, digital support, and needs-based referrals while opening and servicing consumer deposit accounts. You will also identify credit opportunities and connect customers with Personal Bankers or lending specialists.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years banking, customer service, or cash-handling experience preferred.
• Exposure to branch sales, referrals, and basic financial-services concepts appreciated.
• Customer-service excellence with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of deposit products, digital tools, branch operations, and onboarding processes.
• Ability to conduct needs-based conversations and make confident product referrals.
• Accuracy and attention to detail in account opening and cash-handling environments.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency with banking systems, digital platforms, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Deliver welcoming, professional service across in-person, phone, and digital channels.
• Conduct needs-based conversations to understand customer goals and recommend solutions.
• Provide accurate assistance for servicing requests with timely follow-up to ensure satisfaction.
• Accurately process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, cashier’s checks, and other transactions.
• Balance cash drawer and assist with vault, ATM, night depository, and dual-control responsibilities.
• Identify suspicious or fraudulent behavior and escalate appropriately.
• Open and service consumer deposit accounts and complete maintenance accurately.
• Educate customers on account features, benefits, and digital access tools.
• Identify financial needs and recommend Nicolet products and services; meet referral goals.
• Refer customers to partners for loans, home equity, credit cards, business banking, and wealth services.
• Maintain outreach and pipeline management; contribute to business objectives through sales calls.
