Job summary

Southern Bank is seeking a Personal Banker II to build and expand customer relationships at the Poplar Bluff branch. You will proactively meet customers to assess financial needs and suggest product solutions, while delivering exceptional service.

You will work with the Branch Retail Manager to drive sales, participate in lobby activities, and represent the bank in community events and outreach efforts.

Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of the Bank’s products and services.
• Proficient in business products (e.g. Cash Management, Remote Deposit Capture).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Good computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Builds new customer relationships through frequent interactions; proactively contacts customers.
• Cultivates a partnership with the Branch Retail Manager to drive sales and meet customer needs.
• Welcomes customers in the lobby and directs them to the appropriate team member.
• Participates in community events to establish visibility and drive business to the branch.
• Assists, trains and mentors branch staff as the primary contact.
• Maintains knowledge of bank products and regulatory requirements.
• Takes ownership of the customer experience and resolves service issues.
