Job summary

Truist is seeking a customer-focused banker in Danville, VA to deliver exceptional service, build relationships, and expand financial solutions. The role supports teller duties as needed and participates in team leadership routines.

You will engage clients, promote deposit and loan products, and collaborate with specialists to meet sales targets while maintaining strong compliance and service standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Two years of client sales and service experience.
• Experience sourcing and prospecting for new clients and building relationships.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office.
• SAFE compliance within 30 days and ongoing regulatory requirements.
• Ability to multi-task under time constraints.
• Ability to travel for temporary staffing or locale changes.
• Ability to work weekends and/or extended hours with occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide industry leading client service in person and by phone.
• Meet or exceed client service and branch sales targets through relationship building.
• Refer complex needs to internal specialists.
• Participate in Retail Community Bank Leadership routines.
• Attend training and build sales/product knowledge.
• Advise on consumer lending options and take loan applications.
• Adhere to internal controls and risk policies.
• Deliver a welcoming, helpful client experience during transactions.
