First Merchants Bank in Munster, IN is seeking a Customer Relationship Representative to join our team. You will execute on sales and service goals, open deposit accounts, process loan applications, and help clients meet their financial needs with banking products and digital tools.

You will engage customers in meaningful conversations, resolve inquiries, and maintain accurate records while delivering a positive service experience and supporting branch operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Minimum of one year banking, sales, or related experience; at least six months selling products/services.
• S.A.F.E Act registration required at the time of employment through NMLS; must meet qualifications within three months.
• Ability to obtain Notary Public designation.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• In-depth knowledge of bank products/services offered by the bank.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality customer service by addressing a wide range of banking needs in a fast-paced environment.
• Proactively engage clients to understand financial needs and recommend products, services, and digital solutions.
• Resolve client inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate client records and account information to support ongoing relationship management.
• Open new consumer and business accounts and process loan applications.
• Educate clients on electronic banking products and enroll them during account opening and onboarding.
